The Israeli occupation forces released seven journalists on Sunday evening, after summoning them for interrogation, against the background of covering the occupation’s attacks on citizens and their property in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

Journalist Mashhour al-Wahwah, a photographer for the Palestinian News and Information Agency “Wafa,” confirmed that the occupation released him and his fellow journalists after interrogating them at the Kiryat Arba investigation center on charges of being in a military zone and inciting against the occupation.

The two journalists, Mashhour Al-Wahwah and Raed Al-Sharif, filed a complaint against the occupation soldiers who beat them while covering the weekly event against settlements in Masafer Yatta. The file was transferred to the Military Prosecution of Occupation.

Photographer Al-Wawah said that summoning and arresting journalists in Hebron and the areas of events and confrontations in the West Bank, will not deter them from continuing their work in reporting, documenting and photographing events, especially when it comes to the barbaric practices and crimes of the occupation authorities aimed at displacing the safe and defenseless citizens from their homes and lands in which they were born and raised. south of Hebron, in favor of the expansionist settlement projects.

It is noteworthy that the occupation forces summoned seven journalists who were covering the weekly events with Masafer Ya. They are: Raed Al-Sharif, the correspondent for Al-Ghad TV channel, Mashhour Al-Wawah, the photographer for the “Wafa” news agency, Jamil Salhab, Sari Jaradat, the Turkish Anatolia correspondent, Abdul Mohsen Shalalda and Khalil Dhoib from “J.” Media, and Ihab Al-Alama from Al-Quds Video.
