The occupation has arrested one million Palestinians since 1967

According to Palestinian human rights organizations, the Israeli occupation forces have arrested one million Palestinians since 1967, and the number of detainees in Israeli jails is currently 5,700.

In a joint statement, the human rights organizations said that Israel had carried out 1 million arrests since 1967, while the number of detainees in the first quarter of this year was 1,600.

Among the detainees were 250 children, 36 Jerusalemite children in house arrest and 5 minors held in "Shelters". In addition to 47 women and 6 deputies in the Legislative Council, and 500 administrative detainees.

The Israeli occupation authorities continue to arrest 700 Palestinian patients, including 30 cases of cancer, 56 prisoners have been detained for more than 20 years continuously, 26 of the veterans (since before the 1993 Oslo agreement), the most prominent of them are Karim Younis and Maher Younis 37 years ago.

Among the prisoners, 570 were sentenced to life imprisonment once or several times.

Human rights organizations have documented the deaths of 218 prisoners in Israeli jails since 1967, including 73 because of torture, 63 because of medical negligence, and 7 because of the repression and direct shooting of Israeli soldiers and guards.

She noted that 78 prisoners were killed by willful killing, direct liquidation and execution in the field immediately after arrest.
