The occupation detains dozens of students from Al-Lubban Al-Sawiya School, south of Nablus

The Israeli occupation forces detained, today, Thursday, dozens of students, the director and teachers of Al-Lubban Al-Sawiya School, south of Nablus. 

Ghassan Daghlas, the official in charge of the settlement file in the northern West Bank, said that the occupation soldiers detained dozens of students while they were leaving the Al-Lubban Al-Sawiya Mixed School, which is located on the Ramallah-Nablus road.

He added that there is tension in the area, noting that it is not the first time that students have been harassed by the occupation soldiers who are almost permanently present in the area.

For his part, the head of the village council, Yaqoub Awais, told Wafa that three Israeli military vehicles have tried, since this morning, to provoke the students through soldiers who are distributed daily to walk among the students on their way to and from the school located on the main Ramallah-Nablus Street.

He added: During the students’ return to their homes, the occupation forces pursued them even inside the town and through the alternative road known as the “Khilat Zina” road, and there they detained me and the school director, teachers and students for more than two hours in the hot weather, in addition to provoking the students and threatening them with arrest.

It is noteworthy that the occupation forces arrested, yesterday, Wednesday, 14-year-old student Hassan Daoud Daraghmeh, while he was returning from school.
