The Israeli Military Investigation Police decided, today, Wednesday, to prosecute the police who shot in cold blood the martyr Iyad Al-Hallaq, who has special needs, in the Old City of Jerusalem on the 30th of last May.
According to the Hebrew Channel 12, the decision was taken after several hearings by the investigative police and the Public Prosecutor´s Office, where he will be brought to trial for murder.
According to the investigations, the policeman could have acted differently, and shooting at that moment was not necessary.
He is expected to issue a prison sentence of about 12 years.
