The Occupation Arrests 25 Workers near the Town of Barta'a

Israeli occupation forces arrested 25 workers on Friday in an ambush set up near the eastern side of the town of Barta'a, adjacent to the Separation Barrier south of Jenin.

Eyewitnesses reported that reinforced police and border guard units set up an ambush for the workers in the area they use to cross the Separation Barrier erected on the lands of the eastern side of Barta'a. Upon their return from work inside, the workers were surprised by pursuit, followed by the firing of sound and gas bombs toward them, resulting in several cases of suffocation.

The witnesses added, "It became evident that they had taken several measures and actions to capture and trap the workers. They managed to arrest those who suffered injuries, restrained them, and transported them in a military bus to an Israeli police center."

Witnesses also noted that border guard personnel physically assaulted a number of workers while they attempted to escape and break free from their grasp, subsequently taking them to an undisclosed location
