The occupation arrested 470 Palestinians in August

According to human rights data, the occupation forces arrested during the month of August (August) last 470 Palestinians; including 50 children and 11 citizens.

The Israeli authorities arrested 162 Palestinians from the city of Jerusalem, 82 from Ramallah and Al-Bireh, 50 from Hebron and 44 from Jenin.

Bethlehem witnessed 30 arrests, 38 from Nablus governorate, 13 from Tulkarm, 24 from Qalqilya, 6 from Tubas, 6 from Salfit, 8 from Jericho and 7 from the Gaza Strip.

She said that the number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons had reached 5,700 by the end of August, including 38 women, nearly 220 children, and 500 administrative detainees.

She pointed out that the occupation authorities issued during the past month 76 administrative arrest warrants between the new and renewal of orders issued previously.

It is worth mentioning that the human rights paper was prepared by the Palestinian Prisoners Club (semi-government), Al-Dameer Prisoners´ Welfare and Human Rights, Prisoners and Editors Affairs Authority (official).
