The occupying government passed a law on Sunday to freeze the funds it has transferred for the treatment of Palestinians arrested after their injuries, as well as prisoners in prisons run by the Prison Service.

The law was introduced by Knesset member Anat Brcko, with the support of Internal Security Minister Gilad Ardan, during the weekly session of the Israeli Government.

Israeli television said that at the request of Minister Ardan, the powers of the law had been extended to include prisoners in the occupation prisons.

In commenting on the law, Mk Brcko said: "We do not treat" terrorists free of charge, so if they do not have the money, they will sell their homes or collect donations, "he claimed.
