The occupation announces a number of new measures regarding permits and the entry of goods into Gaza

Israel announced today, civil measures for the Gaza Strip, starting next Sunday.
A statement issued by the so-called Coordinator of Israeli Government Activities said that as of Sunday, 1,000 merchants and 350 businessmen from Gaza will resume entry to Israel through the Erez crossing (Beit Hanoun).

The statement added that entry permits will be issued to people who have received the vaccine against the novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) and those who have recovered from the disease.

In addition, the statement clarified that due to the recent security stability with the Gaza Strip, it will also be possible to expand imports from Israel to the Gaza Strip, which will include components of the transportation and communications sector.
It will also allow the entry of equipment and goods into the Gaza Strip in order to develop the humanitarian infrastructure.

The statement stressed that the civilian steps came with the approval of the political level in Israel, and are conditional on maintaining security stability in the region.
