The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the occupation forces ’dumping of hundreds of agricultural dunums east of the Shejaiya neighborhood in Gaza City by opening rainwater ferries, which led to the destruction of these lands and the infliction of great losses for farmers, knowing that it is the second time that forces committed Occupation this crime within a month.
The ministry considered in a statement today, Thursday, that dumping agricultural lands east of Gaza City is a crime in every sense of the word, for which international law will be held accountable, and it is an integral part of the occupation’s continuous attacks and its open war and its unjust siege on our people in the Gaza Strip with the aim of consecrating its separation from the West Bank. The occupied West Bank and the attempt to bring it to its knees, which leads to more suffering, pains and torments that incurred by the Gazan families and their generations.
The Ministry held the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for this crime, and called on the relevant international organizations and institutions to break their silence and condemn this attack, and to take the necessary measures imposed by international law to provide protection for our people, including the protection of Palestinian farmers, their land, their crops, and their crops.
The Ministry also called on the International Criminal Prosecutor to quickly announce the opening of an official investigation into the crimes of the occupation, including its crimes against our people in the Gaza Strip.
