The US Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has launched a probe into a journey that will take it to a distance closer to the sun than any other spacecraft.
The probe, launched early Sunday morning, will pass through the solar anomaly, taking the huge heat while studying the exterior of the sun´s atmosphere, which is witnessing the solar winds.
Reuters said the vehicle (Parker Solar-prop) or the Parker Sunprobe, a small car size, was launched from the Cape Canaveral base in Florida, the United States of America, at 3.30 a.m. local time on the seven-year mission.
The vehicle is scheduled to enter the solar anomaly to be 6.1 million km from the surface of the sun, seven times closer than any other spacecraft.
The aura surrounding the star of our group causes the solar wind, which represents a continuous flow of charged particles permeating the solar system. The unpredictable solar winds cause an imbalance in the Earth´s magnetic field and thus affect communication technology. NASA hopes that the findings of the probe will enable scientists to predict changes in the space environment around our planet.
The 1.5 billion dollar project is the first major mission under the NASA program called Leving and a star, or living with a star.
The probe was launched on this name for the American astrophysicist Eugene Newman Parker. The probe was designed to withstand the difficult conditions of heat and radiation as scientists provided it with a thermal shield designed to maintain the work of its equipment at a temperature of 29 ° C even as the vehicle encountered temperatures up to about 1370 ° C at the nearest point of the sun.
