Murhaf al-Akhras, cousin of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad´s wife, was kidnapped on Thursday on the international highway between Beirut and Damascus, the official NNA news agency reported on Tuesday.
The agency pointed out that the kidnapping took place in "mysterious circumstances" between the towns of Aley and Chtaura mountain, while on his way to the inside of Syria.
According to the website (Voice of Lebanon News) that the wife of the kidnapped, received a call from the eastern Bekaa region from his Syrian personal phone, asking her to pay $ 2 million ransom for his release.
