The Italian government is sending a plane to Wuhan, the center of the emergence of the new mutated Corona virus in China, to return Italian citizens to their countries.
The Italian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it is scheduled to leave the plane tomorrow, Thursday, adding that it will have medical staff and equipment to deal with the situation.
"The Italian government is committed to providing the utmost support to our citizens in China," Foreign Minister Luigi de Mayo said on Twitter.
According to a ministry spokesman, there are up to 70 Italians in Wuhan, but not all of them will be evacuated because some of them do not want to leave the city.
