The Palestinian Prisoners Club said today, Saturday, that the Israeli occupation arrested 50 Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, on the night and at dawn today .
The club said in a statement: "The outcome of the arrests carried out by the occupation from Friday morning until this morning, more than 50 citizens from the West Bank, including Jerusalem." The club stated, "The detention and investigation centers are overcrowded with detainees." He added, "The majority of the detainees have been charged with indictments or their detention has been extended, and some of them will be released with conditions . " During the recent wave of escalation, the Israeli occupation authorities arrested more than 1,800 Palestinians from the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Palestinian interior. And the occupation authorities are still extending the detention of most of them, under the pretext that the investigations are not completed. Although the Occupation´s Foreign Minister, Gabi Ashkenazi, assured Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, in a phone call Thursday evening, that the occupation government is keen to maintain calm, the occupation authorities continue to launch arrest campaigns in the West Bank and Jerusalem. Yesterday, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, after the Friday prayers.
