The Israeli occupation forces carried out a campaign of arrests of dozens of Palestinian citizens of 48, on suspicion of their participation in the confrontations that took place in Palestinian cities and towns in the occupied interior, in protest against the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa Mosque and Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.

 

Adalah, the Legal Center for the Protection of the Rights of the Arab Minority in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, stated in a statement that the Israeli occupation police carried out last night, and today the dawn of a campaign of arrests of dozens of Palestinian citizens in 1948 on suspicion of their participation in the confrontations in Palestinian cities and towns inside the Palestinian territories In protest against the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa Mosque and Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, and settler attacks on Palestinian citizens of the Palestinian interior.

He pointed out that the arrests of 21 young men in cities and towns in the north of occupied Palestine in 1948, and 31 detainees from the Negev region in the south of occupied Palestine in 1948.

The center indicated that it had contacted volunteer lawyers to be present in the various Israeli police stations until late at night to give advice to the detainees before interrogating them.

It is noteworthy that dozens of Palestinian lawyers in the Palestinian interior announced their volunteerism to defend the detainees in the Israeli courts.

Many mixed cities in the occupied Palestinian interior (inhabited by Palestinians and Jews), such as Lod, Acre and Jaffa, have witnessed bloody confrontations between the two sides during the last few days.
