The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Diar, the preacher of the Blessed Al-Aqsa mosque, Sheikh Mohammed Hussein, denounced the so-called Haifa Art Fair displaying images insulting to Sayyidina Issa and his mother Batoul.
He added: The presentation of these images reflects the hatred and hatred that the extremists have for the people of Palestine Muslims and Christians, by presenting such images, and without respect for any religious symbols, criticizing the concealment behind the pretext of freedom of expression, to do such abuses.
Hussein warned against the tragic effects of such attacks, which threatens to lead to a large-scale religious war, and reiterated his previous calls for the need to enact a law criminalizing all those who offend sacred and religious symbols worldwide.
The mufti demanded the removal of these images, the punishment of their publishers and their apologies to all the Palestinian people, and called on the relevant international and official religious authorities to urgently move to end this aggression, deter the perpetrators, and put an end to this encroachment on religions and their symbols.
