The head of the village council, Auref Mazen Shehadeh, said that a group of settlers were on the outskirts of the eastern town, before moving towards the secondary school to protect the soldiers of the occupation.
He added that the soldiers fired live bullets and gas bombs at the school and the houses of the citizens. The school administration was forced to evacuate the students for their safety. There were confrontations between the students and the soldiers, resulting in a number of citizens suffering from suffocation.
Shehadeh pointed out that this attack is the eighth of its kind carried out by settlers on high school since the beginning of the current academic year, which disrupts the educational process.
