European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell warned Turkey on Friday of the possibility of new sanctions, including broad economic measures, unless progress is made towards reducing the level of tension with Greece and Cyprus in Eastern Mediterranean.
Borrell said that the foreign ministers of the bloc meeting in Berlin "agreed that in the absence of progress on the part of Turkey, we might draw up a list of further measures" which he expected to discuss during a summit in Brussels scheduled for September 24th.
