The European Union has expressed its concern over the announcement of settlers´ plans to establish several new outposts in the occupied West Bank.
The union said in a statement, today, Thursday, that there are 150 illegal settlement outposts in the West Bank, and these outposts often contribute to the establishment or expansion of Israeli settlements and are a possible direct source of increased settler violence against Palestinians.
He added that the settlements and outposts are illegal under international law, and constitute a major obstacle to achieving the two-state solution.
