(dpa) The European Union has activated its internal rapid alert system for sharing information, as it monitors the outbreak of the new Corona virus after the first cases of clustering in France and Germany.
European Commission spokeswoman Dana Spinant said that the European Union commissioners will discuss the issue tomorrow, Wednesday, adding that the European Union´s Emergency Response Coordination Center will discuss the matter with member states.
The virus, which first appeared in central China´s Wuhan city, killed 80 people in China.
Injuries have also been reported in South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Nepal, Vietnam, Singapore, the United States and Australia.
