This Friday afternoon, engineering equipment, Egyptian crews and Egyptian rubble removal mechanisms entered the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing , with the aim of helping to remove the rubble left by the recent Israeli aggression on the Strip.
This came, under the directives of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to contribute to removing the rubble and the rubble of demolished houses.
These equipment came within the framework of relieving the residents of Gaza and with the aim of quickly returning life to normal and starting reconstruction, in light of President Sisi´s announced Egyptian commitment to improving living life in Gaza.
President Sisi provided $500 million for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, an initiative that was well received at the regional and international levels.
Sources had told Sawa News Agency, on Wednesday evening, that Egyptian equipment and mechanisms for removing debris would enter the Gaza Strip, on Friday morning, through the Rafah crossing.
It is noteworthy that the Gaza Strip was subjected to Israeli aggression during the past month, which lasted for 11 days, during which many buildings, roads, and vital facilities were destroyed by warplanes.
For his part, the Director-General of the Ministry of Busyness, Muhammad al-Askari, confirmed that 35 vehicles will arrive in Gaza on Thursday, and they will consist of "buffers, trucks, sweepers and tankers."
He added that the mechanisms will work alongside the Ministry of Works crews to help remove dangerous and ramshackle homes and remove the rubble of destroyed buildings, with an estimated volume of rubble from 200,000 to 300,000 tons.
Al-Askari pointed out that an Egyptian engineering delegation will be constantly present and in contact with the engineering teams of the Ministry of Public Works, stressing that with the efforts being made and with the support of the Egyptian brothers and the speed of their response, the process of removing rubble will be very fast, which is a prelude to the reconstruction process.
"There are high towers and buildings that pose a great danger to citizens, and their removal requires mechanisms that are not available in the Gaza Strip," he said, noting that everything the Gaza Strip lacks was prepared by the Egyptian brothers in the operations of removing rubble and other interventions.
