The arrival of Emirati medical aid to Gaza to confront the Corona pandemic

 Today, Thursday, an Emirati medical aid convoy arrived in the Gaza Strip, via the Rafah crossing, to confront the Corona pandemic.

The convoy includes more than 14 tons of medical aid, including respirators, to help medical teams face the pandemic, which is witnessing the registration of a large number of injuries and deaths in recent weeks.

Ashraf Jumaa, an official at the National Solidarity Committee, said that the convoy came after appeals made by the committee to provide medical equipment to confront the epidemic, noting that what the UAE provided important aid.

Jumaa thanked the UAE for its prompt response, appreciating the role of Egyptian intelligence in facilitating the arrival of the convoy.

For his part, Ghazi Hamad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development in the Gaza Strip, said that the Emirati medical convoy arrives in a sensitive circumstance with the high epidemic injuries, the great pressure on health and the harsh siege conditions.

Hamad indicated that the convoy will contribute to easing the burden on health and providing a measure of protection for citizens, thanking the Emirates and the Solidarity Committee for their efforts in this.
