Hamdallah on Thursday called for international intervention against Israel´s decision to cut Palestinian tax revenues.
In a statement after receiving the Indian Ambassador to Palestine Sunil Kumar, Al-Hamadullah warned of the impact of the Israeli decision on economic and security stability in the Palestinian territories.
Al-Hamdallah also met in Ramallah with Omani Ambassador to Jordan, Khamis Bin Mohammed Al-Farsi, to discuss the repercussions of the Israeli decision on deducting Palestinian tax funds.
Al-Hamdallah urged Arab and Islamic countries to "fulfill their financial obligations through the Arab safety net which they pledged during the Arab summits to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their steadfastness on their land."
On Sunday, the Israeli cabinet decided to discount the Palestinian Authority´s payments to prisoners and families of Palestinian victims of the tax revenues it collects for the Palestinian Authority.
The tax revenues controlled by Israel are estimated at about $ 1 billion a year and are a critical factor in the Palestinian budget.
