The results of an industrial survey issued by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology showed an increasing role for technology innovation in leading the software and information technology sector in China.
The results of the index, which tracks the comprehensive development of the sector, indicated a continuous rise in recent years, according to the ministry, where the index recorded last year in 2019 increased by 9.6 points on an annual basis, while technological innovation as one of the sub-indicators recorded faster growth.
The total revenue of the software sector was 6.46 trillion yuan (about 931.3 billion US dollars) in the first 11 months of last year 2019, up 15.5 percent from the previous year, according to the ministry data.
