Students tried to break into a police station to remove their detained colleague

About 50 students tried to storm a police station to free a 15-year-old colleague after being held on charges of "sugar and riots," police said on Thursday.

The school´s security in the southern town of Starnberg called the police after the drunken boy´s behavior became out of control during a farewell ceremony. The police could not calm him down so he decided to detain him.

A group of students tried to storm the police headquarters after their colleague was detained.

The pupils tried to open the front door, but they failed. Police said bottles were thrown and a window was broken.

Police recovered control of the situation and three students were arrested after being charged with trying to release a detained person and damaging property.
