Shtayyeh calls for intensifying international efforts to end the Israeli siege on Shuafat camp

Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh called today, Tuesday, for the need to intensify international efforts to end the siege imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities for days on the residents of Shuafat camp, in occupied Jerusalem.


 In a statement, Shtayyeh also called on the United Nations and the International Red Cross to enter the camp, learn about the suffering of the extent of the refugees there, and work to allow them to leave the camp and enter it freely.


He called for an end to the settlers´ attacks on olive pickers in villages and towns, in which the blessed tree harvest began, amid the attacks of armed season settlers under the protection of the occupation soldiers, who confiscate the crop and prevent farmers from reaching their fields.


Shtayyeh also called for the formation of popular committees in the targeted villages and towns, to protect farmers and confront settlers´ attacks.
