Settlers cut down old olive trees in Jalud

The oldest settlers on Saturday cut olive trees in the town of Jalud, south of Nablus.

The head of Jaloud Village Council, Abdullah Hajj Muhammad, stated that settlers cut down old olive trees using mechanical saws and transported them with their vehicles.

He added that the attack took place in the eastern region, known as "Karafa", which is adjacent to the settlement outpost, "Ich Kodash."

He explained that citizens have been prevented from accessing their lands in this area for many years under the pretext that it is a military zone.
