Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi affirmed that there is no alternative to the two-state solution that embodies the independent Palestinian state with occupied Jerusalem as its capital on the June 4, 1967 lines, as a way to achieve comprehensive peace.
During his talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, he explained the seriousness of the illegal Israeli measures that undermine the chances of achieving peace.
Safadi appreciated China´s stances in support of achieving a just and comprehensive peace on the basis of the two-state solution in accordance with international law and international legitimacy decisions.
Safadi placed Wang Yi on the developments related to the Palestinian issue and the efforts aimed at creating a political horizon for returning to serious and effective negotiations to achieve a just peace.
