The Land Research Center of the Arab Studies Association confirmed that during the first nine months of this year, the occupation demolished 450 homes and facilities. It also pushed some Jerusalemites to demolish their homes with their own hands. This year (80) homes and self-destruct facilities.
According to a statement issued by the Center: The total number of Palestinian homes demolished by the occupation since the establishment of Israel amounted to about 165,690 homes, causing about one million Palestinians to be displaced.
The statement stressed that the Israeli occupation policy that besieges Palestinian construction, especially in Jerusalem, has forced many people to build without a permit or flee to the governorates of the West Bank, until the Jerusalemites alone need about 25 thousand housing units to cover their urgent needs.
