Report: 2 martyrs, 60 wounded, and 320 detainees, last September

The Abdullah Al-Hourani Center for Studies and Documentation, affiliated to the Palestine Liberation Organization, said that two citizens were killed, 60 others were injured, and about 320 civilians were arrested by the Israeli occupation forces during the month of September.

The Center added in its monthly report on Israeli violations against our people and their properties, that the occupation government approved the establishment of 1,540 new settlement units, and seized (17) sites in the heart of Hebron, including about (3807) donums, during the same period.

The report indicated that the occupation mechanisms demolished during last September (84) homes and establishments, of which (33) homes and residences, and (51) agricultural, animal, service and commercial facilities.

He indicated that settler gangs carried out (63) attacks against Palestinian citizens and their property, which resulted in wounding (14) civilians, including three children and a pregnant woman, in addition to uprooting and destroying (545) fruit trees, and killing (9) heads of livestock.

Martyrs:

The Abdullah Al-Hourani Center for Studies and Documentation stated that the martyr Dawood Talaat Al-Khatib, 45, from Bethlehem, rose through deliberate medical negligence in the occupation prisons after 18 years of arrest, and suffered a heart attack inside the occupation “Ofer” prison.

Meanwhile, the martyr Nidal Muhammad Akram Jabareen (54 years), from Jenin, died due to a cardiac arrest due to the Israeli occupation soldiers´ firing stun grenades at him near Barta´a Military Checkpoint in the northern West Bank.

And with the martyrdom of the captive al-Khatib, the number of martyrs whose bodies have been detained by the occupation since the gift of Jerusalem in 2015 rose to (67), in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

The wounded and detainees:

According to the center, in the same period, (60) civilians were injured as a result of the oppression of citizens while confronting the oppressive practices of the occupation forces, and hundreds of cases of suffocation were injured as a result of inhaling poisonous gas, while participating in the peaceful weekly rallies against the wall and settlements.

During the past month of September, the occupation forces arrested about (320) citizens in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip. The prisoners in the occupation prisons suffer from difficult living conditions as a result of repressive practices, collective punishment and their deprivation of their most basic legitimate rights stipulated by international law.

The Israeli occupation authorities are still holding about 4,500 prisoners in their prisons, including (160) children and (39) women.

Settlement:

The occupation government approved the establishment of (980) new settlement units in the settlement of "Efrat", which is built on citizens´ lands south of Bethlehem, and the so-called District Construction and Housing Committee approved a plan to expand "Har Gilo" settlement through building (560) new housing units. In addition to approving a plan to expand the bypass road of the Walaja road south of Bethlehem, which connects the "Gush Etzion" settlement complex with occupied Jerusalem.

In the same context, the occupation authorities seized the ancient castles of Deir Samaan and Monastery Qala, located northwest of Kafr al-Dik town and east of Deir Ballut in Salfit governorate, for the benefit of the Israeli Antiquities Authority.

While the Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry announced the intention of the occupation state to establish a new industrial zone south of Tulkarm, which is the second in the region on an area of ​​800 dunums that will be seized from citizens´ lands, which forms a settlement industrial belt that extends from the Taiba area in the occupied lands in the year 48 to "Ifni Hefetz" settlement, built on the lands of Tulkarm.

Settlers of "Shaked", built on citizens´ lands belonging to the village of Dhahr al-Maleh, which is located behind the separation wall, began to raze about 120 dunums of lands from the villages of Dhahr al-Maleh and Zebda and Yabd, which had been previously seized with the aim of establishing a new settlement near the settlement.

Land grabbing:

The Israeli occupation army issued a military order to seize and seize (17) sites in the heart of Hebron, including about (3807) dunums, and among the targeted areas are two homes located in the Tel Rmida neighborhood and Al-Shuhada Street in the Old City of Hebron.

The occupation also issued a military order to seize an area of ​​(1.6) dunums of agricultural lands in the Khirbet Ghazal area of ​​Bardala village in the northern Jordan Valley, with the aim of expanding a water pumping station from an artesian well in the area that feeds Israeli settlements and camps.

In addition to another military order requiring the seizure of 803 square meters of citizens´ lands belonging to the village of Douma, south of Nablus, under the pretext of establishing a facility to explore for groundwater.

While the occupation forces swept large areas of Palestinian land in the West Bank with the aim of opening and expanding settlement roads, they concentrated in the Khallet Hodeidah area of ​​the village of Haris and located near the settlement of "Kiryat Netafim", with the aim of expanding it, and the area of ​​Ras Abu Zaitoun, located to the northeast of the village of Ras Karkar, in order to create a road Dirt and the extension of a water transmission line to a random settlement outpost in the area, which led to the uprooting of 22 olive trees.

The sweeping operations affected the Khirbet Zanuta area, south of the town of Dhahriya and Wadi al-Jawiya, east of Yatta, while the occupation forces continued to raze the settlement of "Brokhin" at the expense of the lands of Broqin town, west of Salfit. The occupation also seized a government vehicle belonging to Palestine TV in the northern valleys under the pretext that it was carrying Red scoreboard.

Judaizing Jerusalem:

The Occupation Court in Occupied Jerusalem issued a decision to evacuate the Al-Rajabi family building in Batn Al-Hawa neighborhood in Silwan, south of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, in favor of the Ateret Cohenim settlement association. The property is a residential building consisting of 3 apartments housing 30 members of the family. In the same context, the Supreme Court decided to evacuate the Salah family from the property they have rented since 1968 in Silwan.

In addition, the municipality of occupation in Jerusalem and the so-called "Permanent Fund of Israel" and the "Jewish Agency" signed an agreement to establish a settlement project described as a giant in the center of the occupied city. The project will be located in the conference center area called "Nation Buildings" at the main entrance to occupied Jerusalem.

The cost of the project is estimated at one billion eight hundred million shekels, which includes the construction of nine skyscrapers in addition to five multi-storey buildings, so that after the completion of the project, the conference center will become the largest of its kind in the Middle East. The incursions of settlers and foreign and Jewish visitors into a square and a hall where three-dimensional pictures and films are displayed on the history of Jerusalem and the alleged temple during the historical stages.

The occupation police installed headphones and electronic devices on the northern wall of the Al-Aqsa Mosque near Bab Al-Asbat, and the occupation authorities informed the governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith, not to communicate with President Mahmoud Abbas, Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh, and (50) Palestinian national figures and to restrict movement in and around Jerusalem, and to renew The decision to prevent any activities from practicing for another six months.

These decisions included paying fines and bail of about (10) thousand shekels, and the occupation police issued financial violations (500) shekels for young men entering the Old City or trying to pray in the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the pretext of "violating the measures to prevent the Corona virus."

Demolition of homes and facilities:

During the same period, the occupation forces demolished (84) homes and facilities, of which (33) homes and residences, and (51) agricultural, animal, service and commercial facilities, thus increasing the number of houses and facilities that the occupation forces demolished since the beginning of the year to 627 homes and establishments.

The past month witnessed the implementation of (14) self-demolition of homes and facilities for citizens inside the neighborhoods of Jerusalem, specifically the towns of Silwan and Jabal Al-Mukaber, in order to avoid paying heavy fines if the occupation municipality carried out the demolition, and thus the number of homes and facilities that were self-demolished since the beginning of the year rose to (77) House and facility, which is the highest number recorded since the occupation of Jerusalem in 1967.

The occupation authorities distributed (79) notices for demolition, stopping construction, reclamation of agricultural lands and building streets, and notices were distributed to the governorates of Hebron, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Salfit, Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarm, Ramallah, Al-Bireh, Jericho, Qalqilya, Tubas and the northern Jordan Valley.

Attacks on the Gaza Strip:

The occupation forces carried out (67) shootings, (12) land incursions, (18) air strikes, and (27) sea fire operations against fishermen, which resulted in the sinking of a fishing boat and damage to another, and the occupation forces also arrested ( 22) A citizen on the eastern borders of the Gaza Strip, and arrested another citizen at the Beit Hanoun "Erez" checkpoint, and the occupation aircraft sprayed toxic pesticides on agricultural crops in the northern Gaza Strip.

Settler attacks:
