Report: 197 detainees held by the occupation last April

The Israeli occupation forces arrested 197 Palestinians, including 18 children and one woman, in April.

According to a report of the Prisoners and Human Rights Institutions (the Prisoners Club, Al-Dameer, Prisoners and Editors Affairs Authority), today, Sunday, the occupation authorities arrested 92 citizens from Jerusalem, 10 citizens from Ramallah and Al-Bireh, 28 from Hebron, 22 from Jenin, and Bethlehem 11, While five citizens were arrested from Nablus, 11 from Tulkarm, and 7 from Qalqilya, in addition to 8 from Gaza, and from Salfit governorate, two citizens and one from Jericho were arrested.

As of the end of April 2020, the number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in the occupation prisons amounted to 4,700 prisoners, 39 of whom were women, while the number of child detainees amounted to more than 180 children, and administrative detainees were approximately 400, and the number of administrative detention orders issued was 62 administrative orders, Between a new and a renewal of prisoners who had previously been issued administrative detention orders

During the month of April 2020, the Occupation Prisons Administration continued its punitive and punitive measures against the prisoners, the most prominent of which was the continuation of unilateral isolation against a group of prisoners, in addition to depriving three female prisoners of their right to communicate with their families, similar to those held by women.
