The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced this morning, Wednesday, that 4 deaths and 600 new cases of Coronavirus have been recorded during the past 24 hours, the highest number recorded since last August, which witnessed the entry of the virus into Gaza.
The ministry indicated in its daily report that the deaths were recorded for a 78-year-old citizen and a 53-year-old citizen, who died in the European Gaza Hospital, while a 56-year-old citizen and another 75-year-old citizen died in the Shifa Medical Complex.
The ministry indicated in its daily report, that 335 new recoveries from the Corona virus were recorded.
It stated that the central laboratory examined 2,723 new samples during the same period.
The total number of people infected with the virus in the Gaza Strip since last March reached 12,071, of whom 3806 are active cases, 8,211 recoveries and 54 deaths.
The ministry stated that 234 active people with corona need medical care in hospital, of whom 61 are seriously ill.
