The Russian newspaper "Fedodesti ", quoting knowledgeable sources, announced that the electronic company "yaandex" may display its own smartphone, November 19.
Sources close to the administration "Yandex", and retail companies, confirmed that "Yandex" agreed with their counterparts "Mvide" and "vimpelcom" on the sale of the smartphone. As for this device, it will be presented at the press conference scheduled for next Monday.
According to information from an informed source, the price of this smartphone is expected to be 19.990 rubles (about 300 US dollars).
Some insiders added that "yandex" really intend to put their smartphone in the market, but no exact date has yet been set, as this project is still under development.
In July, the company "Yandex" received a permit to distribute its YNDX-000SB-type smartphone on the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. This statement will take effect until June 25, 2023.
The first to be developed by this company is the "yaandex" station, which is able to play music online, search for movies and animations, TV shows and videos, with the possibility of viewing them on TV. What distinguishes the company´s smartphone is the user´s access to voice assistance through an artificial intelligence application, and is always ready to execute all user instructions. The "yaandex" team developed the technology and the whole device, while its design was implemented in California, and assembled in China.
