The Ministry of Health sent a consignment of medicines and medical supplies from its warehouses in Nablus to its warehouses in the Gaza Strip, with a donation from the Turkish Red Crescent Society.
In a press release on Sunday, the ministry said the shipment included medical supplies and medicines for the treatment of cancer patients, kidneys and chronic diseases, noting that the cost of the shipment was 274 thousand dollars, weighing 8 and a half tons.
The shipment will arrive tomorrow in the Gaza Strip, she said.
For his part, Health Minister Jawad Awad praised Turkey´s efforts and the Turkish Red Crescent Society and its continued support to the Palestinian health sector.
He said that there are many vital projects that Turkey has provided to Palestine in all areas, especially in the health sector.
For his part, the President of the Turkish Red Crescent Society, stressed the continued Turkish support for Palestine, especially in the fields of health, noting that the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip has negatively affected all areas, especially health.
