"Guterich" confirms adherence to the "two-state solution" and the unity of Syrian territory in his speech before the Arab summit

General Antonio Guterich said on Sunday that he is committed to a two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and to the need to preserve Syrian territorial integrity.

"We stress the need for a two-state solution between the Palestinians and the Israelis, and Jerusalem is their capital," he said. "The ongoing violence in Gaza reminds us of the fragility of the situation in the region."

He stressed support for Syrian territorial integrity, including the Golan Heights.

He considered that the unity of the Arab world is the guarantor of regional stability and the prevention of external interference.

Calling the call for a national conference in Libya "a positive sign."

He also called for support for democratic efforts in Algeria.
