Facebook has tightened the rules of live broadcasts through its social networking platform, after New Zealand´s terrorist attack.
According to the new policy, anyone who publishes any link to a terrorist content will be banned from the live broadcast service, according to the Bloomberg news agency.
"Our goal is to reduce the risk of abuse through live broadcasts and to enable people to use that service in a positive way," said Joey Rosen, Facebook vice president for safety.
The gunman who carried out the attacks on the mosques of Christchurch, New Zealand, posted the two attacks on Facebook via the live broadcast service for 17 minutes before the social media company deleted the clip, but quickly spread the video clips of the attacks on the Internet.
