President Mahmoud Abbas will begin an international tour of France and Ireland on Thursday ahead of his trip to the United States to attend UN General Assembly meetings .
The Palestinian ambassador to Paris, Salman al-Harfi, said the president arrives in France for a three-day official visit, at the invitation of his French counterpart Emmanuel Makin.
Al-Harfi said President Abbas will meet during a visit to the two leaders to discuss the latest political developments, including the US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the relocation of its embassy, as well as the financial crisis of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) after cutting United States assistance to the Agency.
He noted that the president would discuss with his French counterpart the topics to be put on the agenda of the UN General Assembly and the French recognition of the state of Palestine.
He said the president will leave France Saturday for Ireland and then to New York to participate in the UN General Assembly at the end of this month.

يبدأ الرئيس Ù…Øمود عباس، اليوم الخميس جولة دولية تشمل Ùرنسا وايرلندا، قبيل توجهه إلى الولايات المتØدة الأمريكية Ù„Øضور اجتماعات الجمعية العامة للأمم المتØدة.
وقال سÙير Ùلسطين ÙÙŠ باريس، سلمان الهرÙÙŠ إن الرئيس يصل اليوم Ù„Ùرنسا، ÙÙŠ زيارة رسمية تستمر ثلاثة أيام، بدعوة من نظيره الÙرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون.
وبيّن الهرÙÙŠ أن الرئيس عباس سيلتقي خلال زيارة ماكرون Øيث يبØØ« الزعيمان آخر التطورات السياسية بما Ùيها الاعترا٠الأمريكي بالقدس عاصمة لإسرائيل ونقل سÙارتها إليها، بالإضاÙØ© إلى الأزمة المالية التي تعاني منها وكالة غوث وتشغيل اللاجئين الÙلسطينيين "الأونروا" عقب قطع الولايات المتØدة مساعدتها للوكالة.
وأشار إلى أن الرئيس سيبØØ« مع نظيره الÙرنسي المواضيع التي Ø³ØªØ·Ø±Ø Ø¹Ù„Ù‰ جدول أعمال الجمعية العامة للأمم المتØدة، والاعترا٠الÙرنسي بدولة Ùلسطين.
ÙˆØ£ÙˆØ¶Ø Ø£Ù† الرئيس سيغادر Ùرنسا السبت متوجها إلى ايرلندا، ثم إلى نيويورك للمشاركة ÙÙŠ أعمال الجمعية العامة للأمم المتØدة نهاية الشهر الجاري.
