Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will arrive in Tokyo on Monday for a three-day visit during which he will hold a number of meetings, including a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and a meeting with members of the Japanese government.
The President´s Adviser for Diplomatic Affairs d. On the second day of the visit, the President will join the Japanese people on their historic occasion by assuming the throne of the new Japanese Emperor Naru Hito along with many of the world´s most important leaders.
Al-Khaldi said in an interview with the official Voice of Palestine radio on Sunday morning that the president will hold bilateral meetings with Japanese leaders to discuss with the Japanese government and consult with them on the latest developments in the political process, praising the strong historical relations between the two brotherly countries and Japan´s support to our people in all fields.
Khalidi pointed out that one of the most important points now to mobilize international support for the creation of a multi-mechanism within the framework of the International Peace Conference, considering that the United States is no longer a mediator in the talks between the Palestinian and Israeli sides.
Presidential Adviser for Diplomatic Affairs Majdi Al-Khalidi stressed the importance of meetings and meetings held by Mr. President at all levels to discuss the request for continued support of the international community with its institutions to the struggle of our people and their right to self-determination.
Al-Khalidi explained that there are many aspects of cooperation that are being held to support and build the institutions of the Authority and enable them to strengthen the steadfastness of our people and continue to work for freedom and independence.
