Google has made a new leap in the mobile world, with its next phone partially controlled without touching it through sensor-held hand movements, according to a message posted on its blog.
This new model, Pixel 4, is supposed to be introduced in the fall. It can be unlocked through face recognition technology and the personal data collected in this device will not be transferred to other Google services, the giant group revealed.
The most prominent innovations are the Soli, a radar developed five years ago. As with other smartphones, Pixel 4 will provide face recognition technology, but this time more smoothly.
"If you know the sensors and the algorithms, the phone will do the moment you hold it in one motion," said Brandon Barbello, the project´s director in Pixel.
The sensors will allow you to unlock the phone without looking at the screen, make electronic payments or activate applications.
In the first three months of this year, 310.8 million smartphones sold in the world, down 6.6 percent from the same period last year, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC).
