The Israeli Peace Now movement, the declaration of the Minister of the Occupation Army, Naftali Bennett, described the approval of a settlement road project that separates travel and transportation between Palestinians and settlers, and connects the settlement of Ma’aleh Adumim to Jerusalem, as Bad News".
The movement added that the road to be implemented "will prevent the possibility of developing a viable Palestinian state," stressing that "there is no desire here to improve the movement of Palestinians, but to expand settlements."
The Minister of the Occupation Army agreed to construct a road linking the village of Al-Zaeem to the Palestinian villages to prevent the movement of Palestinian vehicles on the settlement street adjacent to the settlement of Ma’aleh Adumim, provided that the last settlement is linked to Jerusalem.
"The road will avoid unnecessary friction with the Palestinian population, and will allow us to continue building settlements," Bennett said.
