Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Rola Maayah received the Japanese Ambassador to Palestine Magoshi Masayuki and the delegation of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), where the meeting took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in Bethlehem.

Minister Maayah welcomed the Japanese ambassador, praising the bilateral cooperation between Palestine and Japan in various fields, especially in the field of tourism and the preservation of antiquities and cultural heritage. The Japan International Cooperation JICA, and work is currently underway to organize the opening ceremony with a large official and popular presence.

Maayah talked about the latest developments in the tourism and cultural heritage sectors, the latest developments of the Corona pandemic in Palestine, the Palestinian efforts to combat this global epidemic and the success of the ministry’s plan to produce and adopt health tourism protocols in light of the Corona pandemic and by international standards, in addition to raising the efficiency of Workers in the tourism sector, especially in the field of care, prevention, public safety, creating job opportunities for the unemployed, preparing tourist facilities, as well as raising awareness and promoting tourism.

In turn, the Japanese Ambassador to Palestine, Mr. Magoshi Masayuki, thanked Minister Maayah for her cooperation and joint work, stressing the need to continue the partnership and bilateral relationship for the benefit of both parties.
