The Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kaila, announced today, Friday, the registration of a death, 1026 new infections with the Corona virus, and 293 cases of recovery during the past 24 hours.
In the daily report on the epidemiological situation of the virus, Al-Kaila said that the new death was recorded in the city of Jericho.
She added that the new infections were recorded as follows: “Qalqilya 39, Tulkarm 80, Nablus 194, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 66, Salfit 15, Tubas 12, Jenin 28, Jerusalem suburbs 2, Bethlehem 5, Hebron 14, Jericho and Al-Aghwar 1, Gaza Strip. 504, City of Jerusalem 66".
She indicated that the new cases of recovery were distributed as follows: “Qalqilya 7, Tulkarm 10, Nablus 34, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 15, Tubas 20, Jenin 19, Jerusalem Suburbs 2, Bethlehem 4, Hebron 3, Gaza Strip 100, Jerusalem City 79.” .
She explained that the recovery rate from the Corona virus in Palestine reached 96.9%, while the percentage of active infections was 2%, and the death rate was 1.1% of the total infections.
The Minister of Health pointed out that there are 31 patients in intensive care rooms, while 71 patients are being treated in Corona centers and departments in hospitals in the West Bank, including 3 patients on artificial respirators.
