The Israeli army´s southern Command, on Wednesday, officially appointed Brigadier-General "Eliezer Toledano " As the new commander of the "Gaza Brigade" instead of "Yehuda Fox ".
According to the Office of the Army spokesperson, the recruitment process took place at an official ceremony at the headquarters of the Gaza division.
The new commander of the brigade made a brief statement pledging to make every effort to accomplish the task entrusted to him. "Our forces will stand as an iron wall that defends the security of our citizens and a steel grip that is ready to attack our evil rivals. No one can stop us from continuing to build our national homeland ".
Former commander Fox said that the face of the tunnels was the most challenging task in his military life. He claimed that all the resources entering Gaza were being exploited to build tunnels and make rockets.
Fox pointed out that Hamas alone determines the level of violence at the border.
