Lawyers for the defense team of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have asked the prime minister to postpone the date of the hearing, which will be set for a final date by Attorney General Avihai Mandelblit on whether or not to indict Netanyahu.
According to the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation, the defense team sent a letter to Mandelblit saying that it is unreasonable to convene this meeting two months later, as scheduled, due to the amount of materials for investigation and the work required to study them, pointing out that Netanyahu will not give up his right to hold the hearing.
It is noteworthy that today is the last days of the deadline set by the legal adviser to set a date for the meeting, although lawyers could receive the materials of investigation from the Office of Counsel about a month ago, but they have not yet taken.
