The head of the Israeli occupation government, Benjamin netanyahu, told the members of the Small Ministerial Council (cabnet) that Israel was in the process of military operation in the Gaza STRIP.
According to the Hebrew channel two, Sunday evening, Netanyahu told the cabnet members: " That in the event of the escalating humanitarian and economic crises in the Gaza strip, a military escalation is expected to take place in the South. "
"we are preparing for a military operation in the sector, and these are not just empty words," Netanyahu added.
"if the economic and humanitarian crises in Gaza are curtailed, that is good and desirable; but I am sure that will not happen; and, on that basis, we are preparing for a military operation in gaza."
The egyptian-led pacification efforts between the Palestinian factions in Gaza on the one hand and israel, on the other, have not been successful so far, while the return marches continue on the border of the strip, which threatens to approach a military confrontation.
