Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that Israel would not hesitate to operate in the Gaza Strip even during the election period if calm was not maintained.

In another context, Netanyahu received a delegation of 40 ambassadors to the United Nations, during his visit to the border with Lebanon.
"The new Lebanese government includes representatives of Hezbollah, which means that Iran controls Lebanon," Netanyahu said.
"Iran´s weapons are Hezbollah, and it is important that we send this message. We are not just defending ourselves, but our neighbors."
