Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly rebuked Norwegian foreign Minister Ina Eriksen on the backdrop of her Government´s support for Palestinian non-governmental organizations working against Israel, the Hebrew daily Yisrael Hume reported on Tuesday.
According to the paper, Netanyahu scolded Eriksen during a 50-minute closed-door meeting, which focused only on the issue alone, noting that Netanyahu expressed his deep anger at the Norwegian guest and her government.
The newspaper noted that Netanyahu had demanded a stay of funding for those organizations. Considering those operations as financing interference in the internal affairs of Israel, it is illegal for a State to act against another state in this way.
The Norwegian minister replied that this was not an anti-Israeli act and that it was only a human activity.
