The Moroccan Royal Navy rescued 169 illegal immigrants from sub-Saharan Africa last night on board rubber boats in the Mediterranean, MAP reported.
"Royal Coast Guard units of the Royal Navy carried out an operation in the Mediterranean to rescue several rubber boats carrying 169 illegal immigrants from sub-Saharan Africa," the official Moroccan news agency quoted a military source as saying.
She added, according to the same source, that "all those who were rescued were safely transferred to the Mediterranean ports of the Kingdom."
