Dr. Mustafa Barghouti, Secretary-General of the National Initiative Movement, said that the Gaza Strip is experiencing another war of extermination, represented by the spread of epidemics and deadly diseases.
Barghouti warned of the spread of the polio epidemic in Gaza after the first case was recorded and after the spread of other epidemics, including viral hepatitis, which infected more than eighty thousand people.
Barghouti denied the occupation's claims of stopping the military operation in Gaza, asking: "How did it stop while tens of thousands are displaced under the blows of the fire belts?"
He renewed his call for the United Nations to pressure (Israel) to oblige it to an immediate ceasefire and stop the war of extermination.
The United Nations had called for a seven-day truce to allow the entry of vaccines into Gaza to confront the epidemics spreading in the Strip.
Barghouti stated that the war of extermination that the Palestinian people are being subjected to is unprecedented, and it is a stigma that will haunt the international community, which is unable to force Israel to enter the vaccines and basic materials that our people need to confront the dangers of starvation.
