More than 1,600 administrative detention orders have been issued since the beginning of the year

Today, Monday, the Captive Club reported that the occupation issued more than (1,600) administrative detention orders, from the beginning of 2023 until the end of last June. 


The club said in a statement: "The number of administrative detainees until the end of June (1132), including three female prisoners and (18) children."


He pointed out that this percentage of their numbers is the highest since 2003.  


The Captive Club stated that more than 80% of the administrative detainees are former detainees who have been subjected to administrative detention many times, including the elderly, patients, and children.


The administrative detainees are mainly held in three prisons (Ofer, the Negev, and Megiddo), and the rest of them are held in several other prisons.


The Captive Club confirmed that the highest percentage of administrative detention orders was compared to the last five years, during the past year 2022, and reached (2409).


While the highest percentage of administrative detention orders was in December 2022, which amounted to (315)
