Today, Monday, the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs called on the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to assume its responsibilities towards isolated prisoners in Israeli prisons and detention centers.


The authority stated that dozens of Palestinian prisoners live in difficult health and life conditions, as a result of their isolation in solitary and collective cells, in which they are subjected to assaults, abuse, insults, and insults, in addition to depriving them of clothes, blankets, and electrical tools suitable to overcome the cold of winter and the heat and humidity of summer, and deprivation of treatment and medicines.


According to the visits of the legal staff in the Commission to the isolated prisoners, their stories and testimonies bear real pain and pain, as the occupation is unique to them, bypassing all international norms and covenants, and mastering how to complicate their lives and turn them into hell.


The commission indicated that the crime is still continuing against the six prisoners who were able to break the Israeli security system in Gilboa prison, and they snatched their freedom for several days and were re-arrested, and since that time they have been living a deadly life in isolation cells, and there are many prisoners who have been issued against them recently.
